Should I Do a BFF Photo Shoot with My Best Friend?
When I was in high school, my sister and best friend and I used to hang sheets from the ceiling, place fake flowers delicately on bar stools, jump enthusiastically into the air, and document it thoroughly as a “photo shoot.”
We were SO proud of these pictures, and as ridiculous as they looked, those pictures are actually still really important to me. They represent simpler times and happy memories. Most importantly, they remind me of my sister and my friend, who I rarely get to see anymore.
Do I wish I had worn one shirt instead of three? Do I wish we had ironed the wrinkly sheets before making them our backdrop? Sure. There are things we could have done differently. But I am SO glad I have those pictures.
This is why I was so excited to take pictures of Sydney and Cylin this weekend. They’re besties who are headed to college in the fall, and I wanted to capture the joy of their friendship before life has a chance to take them in different directions.
I had SO much fun capturing their sweet and silly friendship.
If you haven’t done a BFF photo shoot yet, I absolutely recommend it! Contact me so we can set one up for you and your bestie.
